Our next spotlight looks at a great battle between three of Canada’s best. Formula BMW USA Rookie-of-the-Year Daniel Morad stepped up to the plate and scored the big win after an epic battle with fellow Canadian’s Brendan Langlois and Colby Jenn, both from British Columbia. All three got to the battle in the closing lap in very different ways and brought to the party a different experience. In the end it was three great drivers having one great battle.

In preparation for a future career in NASCAR racing, I recently spent some time the Charlotte and Atlanta areas and was pleasantly surprised by everything I saw. The trip started off with us arriving in Charlotte late Tuesday night after driving to Seattle and flying to North Carolina from there. It was a long day and some good sleep was really needed.

Young Canadian race car driver Brendan Langlois, 17, from Kamloops, BC, returned from a highly successful trip to North Carolina, where he had some meetings with key NASCAR insiders, visited all of the top NASCAR team shops, got a behind-the-scenes tour of Lowe’s Motor Speedway in Concord, NC, and completed a two-day advanced racing program at the Buck Baker Racing School, held at the 1.5-mile Atlanta (GA) Motor Speedway.

Kamloops, British Columbia resident Brendan Langlois
was at the Lake Havasu 95 Speedway in Arizona this weekend competing
in the season opener of the USAC Ford Focus Midget paved oval series.
Brendan, who is a driver for the Ron Sutton’s Winners Circle race
team had a very good start in his first competitive run in the midget
racecar.
